BIKETOWN stations are distributed throughout the Portland area, and are placed based on population and transport needs. Check out the System Map for the exact locations.

You can ride a BIKETOWN bike outside of the service area, but it's a good idea not to go too far outside of this area because you will have to return to the service area to lock your bike to avoid a $25 out of service area fee. 

BIKETOWN bikes cannot be taken on a bus or train. Please lock your bike (to a bike rack - do not lock on TriMet or Streetcar property) before you get on, and you can pick up another bike when you get off if you’re still in the service area.
