If you are getting an error message when you try to access a bike or scooter, it could be because you aren’t using the latest version of the BIKETOWNpdx app or haven’t signed up for a Lyft account. Make sure you have a Lyft account with the most updated version of either app. You can also try force quitting and reopening the app or closing other apps.
Throttle not working
Having trouble using the throttle on your ebike? Here are some tips that may help get you going:
- Are you holding the throttle down? If not, you’ll have to keep holding it down for the throttle to work.
- Make sure you aren’t holding down the throttle and brake at the same time
- The throttle should feel firm; if it’s whirling around the handle, this means it’s broken
If the throttle on your ebike seems to be broken, please let us know! Using the throttle is not required to ride these bikes - feel free to use pedal assist instead to get to your destination!
